Woods Creek Yellow Iris Removal

  • Chicken Ranch Me-Wuk Cultural Center 16195 Hwy 108 Jamestown, CA (map)

Please join the Chicken Ranch Rancheria Me-Wuk Indians of California for a volunteer workday.

Spend a rewarding afternoon removing invasive yellow flag iris with fellow community members at the Chicken Ranch Me-Wuk Tribal Cultural Center. Yellow flag iris poses a threat to native plants and aquatic habitats; your volunteer efforts will play a crucial role in maintaining healthy ecosystems where native species can thrive.

Whether you're an experienced volunteer or new to environmental conservation, we welcome your enthusiasm and support. There's no need to sign up in advance—just show up ready to make a difference. We recommend wearing comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing and sturdy shoes.

Your participation not only contributes to the preservation of our local ecosystem but also offers a great opportunity to meet like-minded individuals committed to making a positive impact.

We look forward to seeing you there!
