Lunch Chat: Advocacy for Earth Day

Without the first Earth Day in 1970, there would be no U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, no Clean Air Act, no Clean Water Act, no Endangered Species Act, and no legal or regulatory mechanisms to protect our environment.

Earth Day is a reminder of the power we have as a collective. Together, we shape our future and the health of the places we call home.

“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; in fact, it is the only thing that ever has.”
— Margaret Mead

Much is possible when we get involved in policy-making processes.

If you're wondering how you can help support environmental protection, advocating is one of the best and most tangible ways of making a difference. When the public speaks, decision-makers listen.

Join us virtually on Earth Day, as our Policy Director, Peter Drekmeier, shares what you can do to support environmentally-friendly water policy in the Bay Area.
