Crystal is a California native who grew up near Kings Sequoia National Park, where her love for nature developed. She studied Forestry and Natural Resources for about seven years and has Associate Degrees in Forestry and Natural Resources and a Skills Attainment Certificate in Restoration and Management of Fire Adapted Ecosystems.
She spent two summers with TRT in 2018 and 2019 and developed a passion for restoration work, especially in the restoration of culturally significant meadows in the Tuolumne watershed. She enjoys foraging for local herbs, fungi, and other edible and medicinal plants with her family and spending time at the beach whenever possible.
