As the Communications and Events Manager at the Tuolumne River Trust, Shanley Mitchell has dedicated her career to the intersection of design, research, and environmental advocacy. With a degree in Integrated Design from the Parsons School of Design in New York City, and a focus on political ecology through Global Studies at The New School, Shanley has a passion for harnessing the power of creative solutions to tackle complex environmental challenges.
Throughout her career, Shanley has collaborated with organizations such as Possible Health, The North Star Fund, Sway the Future, The Moxy Group, and Patagonia, bringing her expertise in design and research to support their missions. She has also conducted extensive environmental field research in unique places such as Bhutan and Rwanda.
When she's not working to protect California's precious natural resources, you can find Shanley out exploring the state's beautiful landscapes. With a deep appreciation for the beauty of the natural world, she brings an unyielding passion to her work at the Tuolumne River Trust.
